Young Adult Community

Come find your crew!

In recognition of the Saint Clement church mission and vision, the Young Adult Community (YAC) is an inclusive community of parishioners in our 20's and 30's on a journey of faith in Jesus Christ. We grow in faith through engaging in the liturgy, deepening relationships, serving one another and the greater community, and gratefully sharing with others the gifts we have each been given.

We have various spiritual, service, and social opportunities to be involved with so please subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter and follow us on social media (see below) to learn about some of our upcoming events.

Community Leadership

Our Young Adult Board consists of seven young adult parishioners who each have a unique position on the board. Our 2024/2025 Members are excited to welcome you into this community within the Saint Clement parish family!

If you have any questions about getting involved at Saint Clement we encourage you to contact Marta Stepniak.

Join a Small Group

Looking for a way to grow in faith and make friends? YAC Small groups are the perfect way to do both! Starting this Fall, there will be two small group options offered:

Bible Basics: Come discuss some of the most famous Scripture passages and grow in fellowship and community! No prior Bible group experience necessary.

Deeper Dive: Join us to unpack scriptural apologetics! Learn what apologetics is and how to be an everyday witness for Christ, sharing the beliefs of the Catholic Church. Great for those with a baseline faith who are looking to dive deeper. Please complete this form if you are interested in joining a small group. Reach out to Justyna Przytula with any questions.

Past Events

Theology on Tap 2024

We hosted a record-breaking number of 1,422 young adults this past July-August for our yearly Theology on Tap summer speaker series! We’d like to thank Father Mike Schmitz, Dr. Sally Blount, CEO of Catholic Charities, The Very Reverend Father John Kartje, President of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, Father Pete McCormick of the University of Notre Dame, Father Reginald Wolford of Indiana University, Reverend John Wentz, Executive Director of Alpha USA, and Dr. Lisa Fortini-Campbell, former professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, for graciously giving their time and wisdom in exploring the question: “Who Is Jesus?”

2024 YAC Formal

On May 18, 2024 the Saint Clement YAC held its second annual Formal Dance at the Athenaeum. The theme was Hollywood Nights. Many dressed in formal attire while dancing the night away to our awesome DJ, who spun nostalgic throwback tracks all evening long. There also was a raffle with various prizes. Huge thanks goes out to our YAC Formal Planning Committee for organizing this epically entertaining event! We look forward to next year’s dance already! See below for photos:

Lent 2024 Retreat

Thank you to all who joined us on our Lenten retreat! We dove into topics of how to move past fear, with God, so that you may face your crosses daily and share God's light and love with those around us. A special thank you to Sr. Stephanie and the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels for their warm hospitality!
