All Souls' Day: Requiem Mass Featuring Mozart's Requiem

Saturday, Nov. 2, 7:00 p.m.

Join us for our annual Requiem Mass for All Souls. As Catholics, we believe that our prayers help to bring our loved ones from purgatory to eternal life. This liturgy offers the opportunity to pray together in a special way for our friends and family that have gone before us. This year’s liturgy will feature the music of Mozart’s Requiem K626, sung by a 50-voice choir accompanied by chamber orchestra.

Pious List & Altar of the Dead

Video features an invitation to our Requiem Mass from our Dir. of Liturgy & Music, Jeremy Kiolbassa

Parishioners are invited to remember their loved ones in a special way by adding their names to the Pious List. We will place this list on the Altar of the Dead and pray for these souls at our All Souls’ Day 7:00 p.m. Mass and throughout the month of November.  Add a name to Pious List here. Names must be submitted no later than Thursday, October 31st to be included in the Pious List.

The Altar of the Dead will be located at the shrine of Mary, beginning on October 20th. Parishioners are also invited to place a photo of their loved one at this altar if they desire.

Join the Chorus for Handel’s Messiah!

First Rehearsal: Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
Concerts: Saturday, Dec. 7

Join the chorus for a beloved tradition – Handel’s Messiah at Saint Clement. We still need an additional 40-50 voices in the concert chorus. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., beginning November 6th. There will be two performances on December 7th. The 11 a.m. performance will be a 60-minute “family-friendly” version with the chorus only. The evening performance will be the full oratorio with soloists and orchestra.

There will be no formal auditions. However, the ability to read music and/or practice independently is essential. Choristers must attend at least three of four “full chorus” rehearsals and the dress rehearsal to participate in the concert. Sectional and “catch up” rehearsals are optional and are offered for those who would like additional assistance learning their parts. Practice materials will be provided to all choristers. Please use the link below to register to participate. Contact jkiolbassa@clement.org with questions and inquiries.  Sign up for the chorus
