Virtus Requirements
All volunteers who work directly with children are required to complete five things:
Criminal Background Check: This happens when you initially create your Virtus account and then every three years. Your Virtus homepage will tell you if you need to complete this again this year.
CANTS 689 form: This form must be completed yearly (the year starts over on July 1) and tracks the Child Abuse and Neglect system with DCFS. This form must be returned to compliance@stclementschool.org. DO NOT send it directly to DCFS
Protecting God's Children training: This is completed when you initially create your Virtus account and then every three years you are assigned Keeping the Promise Alive training for recertification. Your VIrtus homepage will tell you if you need to complete this training this year.
Mandatory Reporter Training: This training is assigned when you initially created your Virtus account and then every three years. Your Virtus homepage will tell you if you need to complete this training this year. If you do, please send your completion certificate to compliance@stclementschool.org AND complete the CANTS 22 form, which acknowledges that you are a mandatory reporter. Return the signed CANTS 22 form to compliance@stclementschool.org
Archdiocesan Standards of Behavior: This form must be signed yearly and can be signed electronically in your Virtus account
New volunteers who may not yet have a Virtus account
Please go to virtusonline.org and create a profile with yourself as a volunteer at Saint Clement Church. The system will prompt you to complete all of the above. Keep your login credentials handy because you will need them while you are at Saint Clement and we don't have access to them or the ability to reset them for you..
